Abstract

Software engineering is changing as a result of artificial intelligence (AI), which makes decision-making easier, automates activities, and creates more intelligent, adaptable systems. AI can now write code, debug programs in real time, and run continuous software tests—all of which increase productivity and decrease error rates. AI-driven solutions also improve risk assessment, resource allocation, and project management, which results in improved planning and more efficient project execution. However, issues with bias, transparency, and data privacy arise when implementing AI. For AI to be used in software development in a responsible and moral manner, these problems must be resolved. In the future, artificial intelligence will propel developments like quantum computing and self-healing systems. These developments will push the limits of software engineering, increasing accessibility to development and redefining the industry's future.
