Abstract

In this chapter, we propose a conceptual model to utilize the Internet of Behavior (IoB) for improving food safety and quality. This chapter aims at providing an exhaustive insight on what can and cannot be done with behavioral data to increase food safety protocols, in other words a constructive debrief of the theoretical foundations and potential applications surrounding IoB. By means of literature reviews and conceptual models, the chapter presents how IoB can effectively enhance food safety and quality assurance capabilities while confronting several issues with a view to creating an emerging research area for academia as well in supporting industry best practices
