Abstract

Efficient healthcare logistics underpin the timely delivery of medical supplies, directly impacting patient care. This study investigates the critical role of human capital in achieving optimal healthcare logistics performance. The research addresses the knowledge gap in existing research by empirically examining specific challenges and effective workforce management strategies within this domain. Employing quantitative research, gathering a large dataset to analyze trends and statistically test hypotheses, the study explores the experiences of logistics personnel within hospitals (like pharmacy technicians, lab technicians, materials management staff, or personnel managers responsible for medical equipment inventory and distribution) to identify challenges such as high turnover rates, skill deficiencies, work-related stress, training and development opportunities, and work-life balance. Data analysis investigates the impact of these challenges on performance and explores the effectiveness of targeted workforce management strategies in mitigating them.
