Abstract

In a technologically sophisticated era, this study explores the effects of data privacy worries and probable employment losses in the hospitality industry. Data privacy issues have arisen due to the enormous quantity of personal information gathered from consumers as the hotel sector rapidly integrates technology to expedite operations and improve visitor experiences. To emphasize the difficulties hospitality firms face in protecting customer data while using it to enhance services, this study analyses the effects of data privacy rules and consumer attitudes toward data sharing. The study also investigates the industry's automation and artificial intelligence deployment, which can simplify processes while arousing worries about possible job loss. The results of this study help policymakers, stakeholders in the hotel sector, and employees understand how important it is to strike a balance between technology improvements, data privacy protection, and workforce up-skilling and re-skilling efforts in order to prevent future job loss.
