Abstract

This chapter investigates the transformation in human development, esp. education, health, and prosperity through Information Technology(IT) and innovation. In this way, we propose to show how their advent impact the quality of life, the possibility of (more) people to access basic services and the general objective of all (socio) economic development aimed at. A mixed methodology approach allows the research to sample qualitative and quantitative data and provide an in-depth analysis. Some key observations indicated that adopting IT-based innovations has helped improve education outcomes by a great margin while also improving access to healthcare and economic opportunities that could lead to a more inclusive society that is developed along equitable lines. The chapter further explores the obstacles and pitfalls of merging IT with innovation, suggesting key directions for research and policy developments going forward.
