Abstract

The study investigates the impact of an integrated VBN-TPB framework on green entrepreneurial intention (GEI) of post graduate university students of business management and taking gender and family business background as demographic factors. Quantitative data was collected from 447 respondents through an online questionnaire. Integrated VBN-TPB framework was analyzed using CB-SEM (AMOS-22) whereas the effect of demographic factors on GEI was analyzed using Independent Sample t-test. The study found that all the factors have significant and positive effects leading to green entrepreneurial intention. The findings also suggest that women and students with family business background tend to incline more towards green entrepreneurship as compared to men and students with no family business background. This study would help policymakers to chart out policies to boost entrepreneurship in emerging economies by having knowledge of the factors explaining entrepreneurial intentions.
