Abstract

This chapter is a literature review of change in school systems with Distrubuted eadership. This book chapter will investigate a thematic analysis of included literature, a methodological review, and a synthesis of the thematic analysis and methodological review. This literature review will answer two main research questions: (1) How is distributed leadership being analyzed by social network analysis within the educational field? (2) What are the major themes across this body of work? In the discussion section, this book chapter considers the theory, policy, and practice implications for future directions of research.
