Abstract

A high volume of goods and services is being traded using online auction systems. This growth requires a larger size and complexity in order to support the online auction systems. This chapter proposes that there be an analysis of the patterns to identify best practices in the development of online auction information systems. These patterns should help both IT managers and software engineers during the requirements specifications phase of developing an online auction system.
