1. Introduction

Despite the fact that the area of healthcare is in a state of constant development, the combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and patient-centrality represents a significant and innovative advance. As a result of the incorporation of artificial intelligence technology into healthcare systems, which has resulted in a fundamentally disruptive revolution, patients have been placed at the center of the care delivery process. Because of the combination of human-centered approaches and AI-driven solutions, the fields of diagnostics, therapies, patient engagement, and healthcare administration have undergone a significant transformation (Rotemberg et al., 2021). This revolution has been brought about by the integration of these two techniques. Amazing advancements and individualized care have resulted from this. Throughout the course of human history, healthcare systems have been organized according to models that have mostly focused on diseases, frequently ignoring the distinctive characteristics of individual people along the process (Wong & Chua, 2018). However, the implementation of AI has led to a change in this strategy, which now focuses a greater emphasis on the requirements and preferences of the patient. This transition has been brought about on account of the incorporation of AI. At this time, professionals working in the healthcare industry are making use of the capabilities of artificial intelligence to analyze vast amounts of data, recognize trends, and provide insights that can be put into action as depicted in figure 1 below:

This is done in order to personalize treatments in accordance with the specific characteristics, requirements, and preferences of individual patients (Aqeel et al., 2023).

As a result of the combination of artificial intelligence and patient-centeredness, there has been a tremendous shift that has taken place in the field of diagnostics. In order to provide diagnoses that are not only correct but also supplied in a timely manner, algorithms that are powered by artificial intelligence are utilized to examine a wide range of data, which includes medical imaging and information about patients (Wan et al., 2021). Having this level of customization not only speeds up the process of identifying illnesses, but it also makes it easier to take preventative actions, which eventually results in more successful treatment outcomes (Wan & Wan, 2023). Precision medicine is a perfect illustration of how artificial intelligence and patient-centered healthcare may work together to improve healthcare. Precision medicine is a growing field that focuses on the individual patient. In order to produce tailored treatment strategies, artificial intelligence examines a wide variety of patient data, which may include genetic profiles and certain lifestyle features (Seyhan & Carini, 2019). This analysis is done for the purpose of establishing treatment methods. By using a more customized approach, not only does the treatment become more effective, but it also reduces the severity of any bad effects that may occur and enhances the patient's general health and well-being (Bull, 2023).
