Physico-mechanical characteristics of nanocomposites are one of the most significant in the study of changes that occur during the transition from macro to nanostructure.
In obtaining nanocomposites based on polymer matrices of different nature and clay minerals, a significant increase in the physical and mechanical properties of composites with a relatively low content of clay mineral is quite naturally and predictably observed. Such a change in the properties of polymer composites is inherent in the transition from macro to nanoscale structure.
As mentioned above, the physical and mechanical properties of polymer nanocomposites are influenced by the following factors:
the size and shape of the filler particles;
the orientation of the filler particles and their relative position in the matrix;
degree of filling;
interaction between filler and binder;
characteristics of the polymer matrix.
Moreover, the influence on the physical and mechanical properties of the technological parameters of injection molding in the production of products should be taken into account.
