Abstract

Many countries and institutions have established business incubators for promoting entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship development. Studies have shown that business incubators aid in enhancing entrepreneurial ecosystems worldwide. Some of the African countries have also established business incubators to promote entrepreneurial development. Adapting an exploratory approach the aim of this chapter is to review and examine to what extent business incubators have promoted entrepreneurship development with a focus on South Africa.
