Abstract

Climate change & environment pose a significant danger to sustainable development, especially in resource-rich nations like ASEAN. Regional collaboration is crucial to address concerns related to climate adaption, resource management, & cross-border environmental governance. The assessment highlights importance of strong institutional structures & equitable resource distribution to effectively address these concerns in achieving SDGs & promoting environmental sustainability in this region. Emerging issues (urbanization, population growth & climate change) add new aspects to regional environmental challenges and require inventive and adaptable solutions. Technology developments offer interesting possibilities for improving cooperation/monitoring progress. To ensure that all Member States benefit from regional initiatives, it is essential to improve knowledge-sharing platforms and align legislative frameworks. ASEAN, through cooperation and innovation, is vital to solving environmental problems and ensuring the long-term development of future generations in order to achieve the SDGs.
