Abstract

As helper professions, social pedagogical professions relate to working with behavioral problems, emotions, and working on interpersonal human relationships in order to provide assistance to others, people who are in crisis, distress, and who need it. The goal is to achieve changes in the behavior and activities of the individual, which requires interdisciplinarity and teamwork. In order to successfully perform work in institutions where they find their place social pedagogues and be successful members of the team that works with its members, all engaged professionals need to know the essence, reasons, prerequisites, criteria that the working group needs to meet in order to act as a team. The study will contribute to improving the quality of life of all categories of educators with whom they work, all of which will contribute to faster, more efficient, and rational resolution of practical problems in the field of education and educational work.

Introduction

The school is characterized by layering and complexity, and because of this diversity of layers, as well as in other organizations, there is a certain division of work in the school where the principal manages the school, teachers and teachers lead educational processes in the class, and professional associates, among them a social pedagogue, have their own specific programs, all of which make up a team that has unique educational goals. The style of work in teams in school has been increasingly sought after. In order to succeed in this, it is necessary to meet the general requirements and know them, to have a high level of competences necessary for teamwork, to know the roles in the school team and the necessary knowledge and competences to perform each of these roles, to know the work of the social pedagogue in the school and to possess the built competences for their successful performance, which will contribute to improving the quality of life of all categories of educators with whom they work.

The presented facilities will contribute to the adoption of knowledge about: the notion and characteristics of teamwork, team work in school and how to organize teamwork in raised educational institutions, as well as the place and role of social education in the work of the school professional team. We will elaborate both the role and importance of teamwork in social institutions where social pedagogies work and to introduce their roles in solving the problems they deal with.

The acquired knowledge in this field will result in application and operational knowledge which will encourage the development of competences of social pedagogues (cognitive, social, emotional, work-action, moral, aesthetic and environmental, which will enable them teamwork and participation in the work of the team, which will contribute to improving the quality of life of all categories of educators with whom they work. To successfully perform these tasks requires thorough knowledge and well-developed communication skills which will contribute to reducing to a minimum the consequences of inadequate socialization of individuals and groups and their easier and faster inclusion in the social community.

In this chapter, we will ilustrate the role of social pedagogiues in teamwork in schools and other institutions. First, we will clarify the notion and characteristics of teamwork, then analyze teamwork in school and the role of social pedagogy in the work of the team. After that, we will explain the importance and role of social education in the work of professional teams in social, health, judicial and other institutions.

Studying the content will contribute to getting to know the meaning and substance, and the conditions necessary for teamwork, its advantages and limitations, the jobs and work tasks of social pedagogues, and the knowledge and competences necessary to solve them will enable certain social measures to be taken on the macro and micro plan in organizing teamwork in order to more complexly take on activities in order to take a more comprehensive view of the problems of social pathology and to engage competent experts in solving them.
