Abstract

Even though women entrepreneurs play a pivotal role in the economic growth of the country, their growth has been subdued. This is because of the gender differences women face in the competitive business market compared to their male counterparts. The prime objective of this study is to unravel the challenges and problems faced by rural women entrepreneurs in India. These women entrepreneurs are essential to the social and economic development of the nation. They are involved in diverse jobs, including business enterprises, Women Farmers, Beauty Parlour, and Merchant. Today, they face problems like lack of knowledge and awareness, financial constraints, social and cultural barriers, poor mobility, lack of raw materials, and absence of advanced technology. This paper showcases the problems and issues faced by rural women entrepreneurs in India.
