Abstract

An entrepreneur is a person who establishes new businesses, expands unexplored existing markets, and significantly contributes to the gross domestic product. Rural areas frequently establish entrepreneurship from a social enterprise perspective, aiming to generate both visible benefits and financial returns. Entrepreneurship in rural areas has three key goals: creating employment opportunities, promoting social integration, and promoting the region's socioeconomic progress. This century is no longer an era where only people of a certain gender can engage in entrepreneurial thinking. Both men and women have the drive, experience, and insight necessary to succeed as business owners. On the other side, women's entrepreneurship is a factor that contributes to bigger issues such as gender equality and women's competency. This leads to the reformation of social concepts and institutions. This chapter, encompassing its three sub-sections: Unveiling Realities: Conditions and Challenges Confronting Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Settings, Stories of Resilience and Success Rural Women's Entrepreneurship, Overcoming challenges for women entrepreneurs to ensure gender equality in rural areas, will delve into these discussions.
