Abstract

This chapter explores the innovative use of digital storytelling as an AI-enhanced teaching strategy to engage learners and foster a deeper willingness to learn. Digital storytelling, the art of creating online narratives for social media, combines visual elements and storytelling techniques to captivate and motivate students. By developing a collection of twenty digitally accessible moral stories, paired with original artwork, the authors demonstrate how AI can be leveraged to create engaging and meaningful educational content. The chapter examines how stories rooted in real-life experiences can teach valuable lessons, integrating AI to adapt content for dynamic learning environments. Furthermore, AI in education aids academic decision-making across course development, pedagogical design, and institutional transformation. Through AI-based digital storytelling, this approach benefits instructors, learners, and administrators alike, presenting new opportunities for growth and innovation in higher education.
