Abstract

It was in the year 1977 in October that the Toyota Motor Corporation entered India. Toyota entered into a joint venture with the Kirloskar Group, therein establishing Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited. Carving their place in the Indian automobile sector, Toyota has successfully carved its place known for their dependability and durability likewise as it was globally. In India, the cars like Corolla Altis sedan, Innova Crysta premium MPV, and the Fortuner premium SUV are one of the most popular models that run successfully. In addition to being the largest automobile manufacturer in the world, the Toyota camp has always been renowned for the cutting-edge technology and brilliant production practices it employs in its manufacturing operations. Toyota has always been a path finder propagating and manufacturing eco-friendly automobiles. Over the years Toyota has developed and mastered developing incredible and refined power plants, which empowers it to deliver tremendous power while minimising fuel consumption.

The Two Japanese Giants Come Together As Allies-The New Chapter

Suzuki and Toyota announced on March 20, 2019, that they would begin specific considerations for joint product development and production collaboration. This would be accomplished by combining Toyota's strengths in electrification technologies and Suzuki's strengths in small vehicle technologies. The Toyota Glanza, which is effectively a Maruti Suzuki Baleno with a different name, is one of the products that have already been produced as a result of the partnership between Toyota and Suzuki. Maruti Suzuki will also supply Toyota with the Vitara Brezza, Ciaz, and Ertiga as part of the alliance. Toyota will supply Suzuki with its hybrid system. They will also work together on the development of a new Toyota C-segment MPV, which will be supplied to Suzuki as well. Toyota Motor Corporation and Suzuki Motor Corporation have been working together in India for two years.
