Abstract

The chapter discusses how cloud computing, emphasizing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), has been applied to overcome difficulties caused by a lack of resources and experience. The significance of SMEs in the global economy and their chances have also been optimized. Important elements such as cost, security, scalability, and compliance with regulations are affecting the adoption of SMEs. Pay-as-you-go access to enterprise-grade technology, remote collaboration, resource agility, and scalability are provided by cloud computing. However, medium enterprises are also depending on a trustworthy supplier, an appropriate cloud service architecture, and a comprehensive needs analysis. The personnel's training must be prioritized to maximize efficiency, data security, privacy, backup and recovery procedures.
