Abstract

Digital transformation is causing radical changes in the media and journalism field; while traditional media organizations are struggling to keep up with this rapid transformation, AI-based news platforms offer a new paradigm. AI technologies play an active role in algorithms at many stages from the writing of the news to its distribution. AI systems, which assume the role of reporters and editors in traditional journalism, select and process content within the framework of predefined rules and present it to digital platforms. In this context, the foundations of AI-based journalism are shaped by algorithmic content management. In this study, emotional expressions in news content were examined with both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods through the example of Dipnot.tv. The findings obtained reveal that AI journalism has not only technical but also emotional and human dimensions. As a result, AI-based news platforms are taking a central position in the future of journalism; they blur the boundaries between digital and traditional media.
