Abstract

A human is considered a holistic open system, consisting of separate subsystems and components. The body's integrity is ensured by self-regulation and non-additivity of exchanges and interactions of various levels within the organism. This approach differs from the “theoretical set” understanding, presented in Chapter 2, when the human life key structures and processes were reduced to elements and interactions at the cellular and gene-molecular levels. The materials of this chapter are data for modeling interactions in the human-environment system (Chapter 8). They are also necessary for understanding the processes occurring during the life cycle, especially aging (Chapter 9) and the near-death state (Chapter 10).
