Themes, Threads, and Voices

Abstract

This chapter presents some of the thematic analysis of some of the interviews that were conducted for this research. Many of the entries are verbatim, many have been grammatically corrected to make them comprehensible, some have been summarized. But all are a very experienced architect's truth. The observations are followed by research's findings. Consolidated and without their references they are 35 mantras. Their brevity requires that reader be familiar with their original presentation, their context and nuisances, least they risk becoming just another “laundry list”. When all is said and done these are the voices of real architects and all of them have lessons for those of us who seek to be masters of our craft.
