Understanding Trends in Economic Development and Financial Dynamics

Abstract

Since economic activities require funds, the financial system is a crucial component of the economic system, with the development of the financial sector having a significant impact on an economy's overall financial health. This study focuses on the intersection of economic development and finance and identifies significant themes and new research directions in the distribution of articles on finance and economic development. It reviews 296 articles from the Web of Science and Scopus databases, focusing on the dynamic fields of economic development and finance. The data shows an increasing trend after 2013, with 101 articles on this issue between 2015 and 2021 and 99 between 2022 and 2024. The results offer new perspectives on how economic development and finance are changing, offering light on both historical precedents and future directions.
