Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the US policy on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Global South. The US has been a key global actor and donor in the developing world from Asia, Africa, and Latin America since the end of the Cold War. The phases of globalization have played a key role in the Global South in the context of economic and infrastructure development. The United Nations had settled the 17-point agenda of SDGs in different areas. By 2030, the UN decided to achieve the SDGs goal through global governance and other development policies. The US has been playing an important role in implementing the UN's SDGs agenda in the Global South. In the era of globalization, China has been created differences in global politics through its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Since 2013, China has emerged as a global actor in world politics and at many junctures, its policy has created challenges to the Western interest in the Global South. China has been creating a big hurdle to the US-led coalition from Asia Pacific to the Indo-Pacific.
