Using an Intranet Portal, Uniform Accounting Charts and Activity Based Accounting to Assist Entrepreneural Nonprofit Program Management

Abstract

The case study explores the accounting issue of operating a geographically dispersed organization by managing the main facets of its environmental programs via an intranet portal, uniform accounting charts and activity-based accounting. An overview of the portal structure is explained as are the challenges facing the implementation of the intranet, the portal and its design.
