What is E-Societal Management (e-SM)

Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology, Third Edition
The management of a socio-economic system (SES), supported by: a) a system engineering theory of the SES (a new branch of management science); b) a specific ICT platform supporting the meeting of societal objectives such as e.g. (i) growth, employment and civilization; (ii) minimization of the losses due to fiscal fraud, corruption and managerial competence. by: (1) public electronic online inter-institutional services (using ICK or an equivalent functional technical solution ensuring coherence) (2) computer-aided holistic oriented management decisions; (3) enforcing virtuous and minimizing vicious socio-economic circuits of the SES.
