Abstract
The natural language processing of Arabic dialects faces a major difficulty, which is the lack of lexical resources. This problem complicates the penetration and the business of related technologies such as machine translation, speech recognition, and sentiment analysis. Current solutions frequently use lexica, which are specific to the task at hand and limited to some language variety. Modern communication platforms including social media gather people from different nations and regions. This has increased the demand for general-purpose lexica towards effective natural language processing solutions. This chapter presents a collaborative web-based platform for building a cross-dialectical, general-purpose lexicon for Arabic dialects. This solution was tested by a team of two annotators, a reviewer, and a lexicographer. The lexicon expansion rate was measured and analyzed to estimate the overhead required to reach the desired size of the lexicon. The inter-annotator reliability was analyzed using Cohen's Kappa.

Flexible Querying Techniques Based on CBR
A relational database is a database that is modeled in accordance with the relational database model. In the relational database model, the data are structured in relations that are represented by tables. The behavior of the data is defined in terms of the relational algebra, which originally consists of eight operators (union, intersection, division, cross product, join, selection, projection, and division), or in terms of the relational calculus, which is of a declarative nature.

Integrating Heterogeneous Enterprise Data Using Ontology in Supply Chain Management
Relational database systems support processing of tuples of relations to generate a single result as a set of tuples. Relational algebra, relational calculus and structured query language (SQL) are used to specify queries on relational databases.

New Trends in Databases to NonSQL Databases
It is a database that is designed using the relational model as a basis. Its main characteristic is that it organizes the information using tables as a storage unit. Likewise, it uses SQL as a query language.

Promoting Social and Solidarity Economy through Big Data
A database made up of a collection of tables (relations) that are stored in rows and columns. Relational database management systems (RDBMS) store a type of structured data. SQL is the most widely used language for managing relational databases.

BioSimGrid Biomolecular Simulation Database
A relational database is a database based on predicate logic and set theory, or in other words, on tables of relations. An example table of relations is the simple publication database shown in the table below. Further relations can be expressed by adding links and keys between tables, and performing mathematical set operations on the tables. For an excellent introduction on the theory of relational databases, see the C. J. Date’s book (Date, 2000). Software exist to model, create, and manage relational databases. Such a software package is called a relational database management system (RDBMS).
