IGI Global's Academic Librarian Sponsorship Program: Charleston Conference

At IGI Global, we are committed to “Publishing tomorrow’s Research Today.” As an exhibitor at the Charleston Conference for many years, we are proud to continue our Academic Librarian Sponsorship Program, dedicated to supporting librarians’ attendance at this prestigious event.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of higher education, ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are transforming the way we approach teaching and learning. Staying at the forefront of these advancements is essential for librarians and educators.

As part of our ongoing commitment to professional growth and collaboration within the industry, IGI Global is excited to announce that we will select one librarian to receive a $500 stipend for in-person attendance at the 2023 Charleston Conference, taking place in person from November 6-10 in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.

During the conference, we invite you to visit us at Table #34 during the Vendor Showcase on November 7th. There, you can engage with Nick Newcomer, IGI Global's Vice President of Sales & Marketing, to discuss a wide range of topics, including your library holdings, faculty publishing history, consortium opportunities, flexible acquisitions, Open Access solutions, and much more. We will also be available to discuss how IGI Global e-Book Collections and our institutional Open Access Agreements can support your library research needs and your faculties' open access publishing desires.

Additionally, explore our Open Access journal program featuring nearly 200 gold open access journals in Business and Management, Scientific, Technical, and Medical, and Education subject areas. These journals provide valuable resources for your academic community, promoting open scholarship and accessibility to cutting-edge research.

What sets IGI Global apart is our remarkable publishing speed. Our books are typically completed within an impressive 6-9 months, whereas other academic publishers often take 24-36 months to produce books. Moreover, our Open Access journal articles are published in as little as 2-4 weeks, ensuring that your faculty's research remains as current and relevant as possible. Rest assured, our efficiency in publishing does not compromise the quality of our peer review process. We are proud members of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring the highest ethical standards in our publications.

To kickstart the conversation, we're hosting a webinar titled "The Impacts of ChatGPT and AI on Libraries in Higher Education" on October 20 at 10:00 am Eastern Time. We're initiating this dialogue ahead of the Charleston Conference to delve into the profound effects of AI on libraries and explore the opportunities it presents.
