Editor Responsibilities
Editor(s)-in-Chief are responsible for the recruitment of and efficient movement of manuscript submissions within the eEditorial Discovery® online submission system, including the assignment of 2-3 reviewers to the manuscript to ensure that each journal article manuscript undergoes the double-anonymized peer review process. Ethics and Malpractice

Increasing Submissions and Discoverability
Editor(s)-in-Chief are responsible for the continuous recruitment of submissions for their journal, as well as assisting with its discoverability. By disseminating information about the journal and posting information related to the journal, Editor(s)-in-Chief can increase the discoverability of their journal, which in turn will lead to more manuscript submissions.

Funding for Open Access Publishing
Editor(s)-in-Chief of hybrid OA are encouraged to secure funding for the journal from a funding body that can assist with offsetting the Article Processing Charge (APC) that contributing authors are required to pay if they choose to publish their work as Open Access.
In the event no such funding is secured, Editor(s)-in-Chief may share funding resources with authors that can assist in covering the costs of the APC. Unlike many other publishers, IGI Global offers flexible subsidies, 100% Open Access APC waivers, discounts, and more.

  • IGI Global’s OA Fee Waiver Initiative: For any library that invests in IGI Global's InfoSci®-Databases, IGI Global will match the library's investment with a fund of equal value to go toward subsidizing the Open Access APCs for their patrons.
