This article attempts to closely examine the users' preferences in the author's method of assessing the usability of websites. In particular, the issues bring a closer evaluation of websites by users. It sets rules for the accuracy of users' preferences on the basis of the scoring method. In the considered problem of assessing the usability of websites the methods of decision support, logs, and user preferences on the basis of the scoring method were used. It should be noted that websites and user preferences change over time and usually vary during the design from the pages already available on the network. Website aging forces companies to conduct a new study on the usability of websites. This article presents an original method for usability analysis based on users' preferences. The proposed method compares with other methods of usability of websites and conducts verification of this method on the basis of exemplary websites.

This article describes how nowadays, cloud computing is one of the advanced areas of Information Technology (IT) sector. Since there are many hackers and malicious users on the internet, it is very important to secure the confidentiality of data in the cloud environment. In recent years, access control has emerged as a challenging issue of cloud computing. Access control method allows data accessing of an authorized user. Existing access control schemes mainly focus on the confidentiality of the data storage. In this article, a novel access control scheme has been proposed for efficient data accessing. The proposed scheme allows reducing the searching cost and accessing time, while providing the data to the user. It also maintains the security of the user's confidential data.

This article describes how the Heterogeneous and IoT networks are the most sought solutions to significant coverage and connectivity to the users. This article suggests a model for a heterogeneous and IoT network comprised of grading of the users based on their movement pattern, usage, and applications. Users are then given preferential possible access to the best connected network on the basis of their loyalty factor. The proposed model is customer centric and provides a best suited network to their loyal user on different aspects of the usage. Simulation studies were carried out to establish the suitability of the proposed work. The work also presents a scheme to retain the loyal customers in their network by providing them better services.

This article describes how the Internet of Things (IoT) is a new paradigm shift in information technology (IT). The IoT manifests the phenomenon of ubiquitous computing when objects or ‘things' are connected to the Internet providing automated services related to the things. However, few studies investigated the acceptance of these services by customers. Consequently, the purpose of this article is to investigate the factors that affect the acceptance and use of the IoT services by customers of telecommunication companies in Jordan. A total of 176 respondents participate in this study and the collected data is analyzed using SPSS. The findings indicate that behavioral intention significantly affects the use behavior of IoT services. In addition, IT knowledge is the most important factor that affects the behavioral intention followed by other factors.

This article describes how the Internet of Things (IoT) and its smart objects will be the fundamental building blocks for the creation of smart pervasive systems. Precision Agriculture can be defined as the use of information, communications technologies and electronic devices in agricultural practice, to improve agricultural production. This article addresses the problem of modelling Precision Agriculture systems. The authors propose an Agent-based approach for an effective integration of the IoT technology in Agricultural Enterprise systems. The proposed approach is based on Agent Interaction Protocols (AiP) through which they specify complex services of the system by recognizing larger chunks that have a meaning in the application domain. The AiP supports the modelling of composite services as entities whose business logic involves a number of interactions among more elementary service components. The authors present an agent-based system architecture whose main goal is to address interoperability issues between heterogeneous IoT-based services by offering a harmonized API.

The rise in technology has had a tremendous impact in the field of healthcare. Moreover, the Internet of Things and ubiquitous computing when applied to the field of healthcare can ease the process by helping doctors better monitor their patients thereby enabling a speedy recovery. This paper proposes three systems to demonstrate the wide array of fields in healthcare and everyday life where Internet of Things can be applied. The first is a system to monitor infants while they sleep to detect crying. Once detected the system swings the cradle and also alerts the parents. The second system aims to help in rehabilitation of patients undergoing corrective knee surgery or other knee related procedures. This is done with the help of accelerometers attached to the joint which interfaces with a microcontroller and constantly monitors the knee movements. The last system aims to help the blind wear the right combination of clothing. This is achieved using image and pattern recognition.

This article describes how the enormous size of data in IoT needs efficient data mining model for information extraction, classification and mining hidden patterns from data. CBR is a learning, mining and problem-solving approach which solves a problem by relating past similar solved problems. One issue with CBR is feature weight to measure the similarity among cases to mine similar past cases. NN's pruning is a popular method, which extracts feature weights from a trained neural network without losing much generality of the training set by using four mechanisms: sensitivity, activity, saliency and relevance. However, training NN with imbalanced data leads the classifier to get biased towards the majority class. Therefore, this article proposes a hybrid CBR model with RUS and cost sensitive back propagation neural network in IoT environment to deal with the feature weighting problem in imbalance data. The proposed model is validated with six real-life datasets. The experimental results show that the proposed model is better than other feature weighting methods.
