After the breakdown of Soviet Communism, Georgia like other soviet republics has been transforming from administrative command economies to market economies. This transformation has caused changes in economic, social, and political domains offering new market opportunities in entrepreneurship.Yet, social entrepreneurship is still an undeveloped area. The concept aims at solving social problems and facilitates the effective implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.Through innovation and business operations social entrepreneurs contribute to the economy while addressing social issues. The paper offers a comprehensive overview of the current state of social entrepreneurship in Georgia, examines social entrepreneurship practices, analyzes the activities of social enterprises, and discusses their missions. Overall, 63 social enterprises were studied. The presented article contributes to the broad investigation of social entrepreneurship in post-soviet Georgia and paves the way for further empirical studies of the challenges and opportunities from social entrepreneurs’ perspectives.

Purpose. Investigate the success factors of entrepreneur women in Latin America and the Caribbean in order to improve the understanding of the impact and their contributions to the economy. Design / methodology / approach. The research examines the success factors in the genre in entrepreneurship, using the GEM Studies (2014) which examines the index of entrepreneurship in 43 countries for this was used parametric tests of correlation and regression (R2). Organizations often find themselves accountable to a diverse and changing set of stakeholders. In an effort to continue meeting these stakeholder needs, organizations strategically leverage CSR actions that align the interests of the firm with those of relevant stakeholders. In order to assess the ways in which a firm strategically manages a diverse and adaptive range of CSR activities, the present study proposes a portfolio approach. In particular, this study draws from stakeholder theory to present three measures of CSR portfolio complexity: CSR level, diversity, and dynamism. The study draws from agency theory insights to propose and assess the moderating effect of slack resources on the relationships between CSR level, diversity, dynamism, and firm performance. In a longitudinal sample, slack resources are found to enhance the positive relationship between CSR diversity and performance. Slack resources are also found to magnify the negative effects of CSR dynamism on performance.

The current study aims to investigate the concept of sustainable entrepreneurship (SE) in the Greek domain for the food sector. The study is based upon the decomposition of the triple bottom line framework (TBL) that characterises entrepreneurs' behavioural goals and values (internal-external, social, environmental, and economic). Data were collected from 150 Greek food companies where managers were asked to rank the importance of 36 attributes that originated from the qualitative interviews and from the literature review findings. The authors found that the first three ranked variables in the ISE domain are the safety and hygiene issues, the continuous training, and job creation opportunities. Next, in the evaluation of the ESE part, entrepreneurs give great importance to the promotion of the local economy and to the betterment of humanity-life through promoting social change paradigms. In the ENE domain, food entrepreneurs produce products that have low-environmental impact, protect human rights, and use energy savings mechanisms.

Smart specialization has been a central strategy for regional smart specializations (RS3s) across the European Union (EU), as a way to stimulate innovative development of the EU regions. The strategy aims to stimulate development in areas or regions that do not necessarily have the highest technological advancement but that have specialized and have had a comparative advantage to implement innovations based on research. This paper aims to initiate a discussion on the potential use of S3 as a platform for social entrepreneurship and innovation with the goal to promote and improve population health through the lens of health equity. Social entrepreneurship and innovation embedded within smart specialization presents a unique opportunity for health promotion and health equity in an agenda for regional development. However, empirical research is needed to develop new models for investigating the intersections between S3, SE and SI, and health promotion, health equity and sustainable development goal 3 (ensure healthy lives at all ages).

In this work, within the business world, two fields of great social interest are related. In particular, it will talk about corporate Safety & Security (S&S) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The importance of S&S in a service company will be analyzed, while some of the actions that these companies can take to increase their CSR will be studied. Specifically, the study will focus on trying to offer some recommendations, to help ensure that train travel is safer and more enjoyable for passengers who suffer from a disability. From what has been said previously, the objective of this work can be stated as: present some actions, so that the trip by train, of passengers with some disability, is safer and more pleasant. To achieve this objective and the secondary objectives that may be generated, the Integrated-Adaptable Methodology for the development of Decision Support System will be followed, which, it has been shown, is very useful in investigations similar to this.
