2025 Charleston Conference Librarian Scholarship Award

By IGI Global Scientific Publishing on Sep 8, 2025

For many years, IGI Global Scientific Publishing has been an active participant and supporter of the annual Charleston Conference, which aims to engage librarians, publishers, consultants, and vendors in meaningful conversations. In support of our continued collaboration with the library community, we are pleased to announce the return of our Academic Librarian Sponsorship Program for 2025. Through this program, four academic librarians will be awarded a seat at the IGI Global Scientific Publishing Focus Group Lunch at the conference, and will receive a $500 VISA gift card to support travel expenses to attend the Charleston Conference.

Librarians: Enter Your Submission Today

Charleston Conference

The 2025 Charleston Conference will be held in person in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, from November 3-7, 2025. The IGI Global Scientific Publishing Focus Group Lunch is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, and will include a complimentary lunch and lively discussion.

Submission Guidelines:

To submit your entry to the sponsorship, in at least 150 words, please answer one of the following questions:

  • In what ways has your library embraced or countered the “headwinds” of the demand for AI-driven discovery tools?
  • How has your library set a course through the sea of abundant content to highlight materials that are both credible and impactful?
  • How have you embraced optimism and resourcefulness to “sail into the wind” of unstable or declining funding while still meeting your patrons’ evolving needs?

We will be accepting submissions until 11:59 PM EST on September 25th, 2025.

Librarians - please submit your responses in and note any significant accomplishments or awards that you have received in your professional role on our official Librarian Scholarship Submission Page.

Terms and Eligibility

International submissions are welcome. Attendance at the 2025 Charleston Conference and the IGI Global Scientific Publishing Focus Group Lunch is required for eligibility. Applicants must be currently employed as a librarian at a standing institution. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Limit one entry per person.

Please note that an earlier posting of this page indicated the deadline was September 5th, and this post has been updated with the correct September 25th deadline.
