Congratulations to all of our contributors for the favorable review of your books! Written by Sara Marcus of ARBA, reviews of the Educational titles follow:

Blended Learning Environments for Adults: Evaluations and Frameworks
Panagiotes S. Anastasiades (University of Crete, Greece)
Drawing on the experiences of 25 international practitioners in higher education, this work presents 14 chapters that address both synchronous and asynchronous technologies used and implemented to develop critical thinking in blended learning environments at the post-secondary level for adult learners who are returning, nontraditional students. […] Whether teaching lab science, public speaking, or looking at the pedagogy and theory, this book will be of use to any educator, instructional designer, or administrator interested in using blended learning, or seeing how blended learning or any information and communication technologies can be implemented with adult learners who might be more resistant to the use of technology.

Collaborative Learning 2.0: Open Educational Resources
Alexandra Okada (The Open University, UK), Teresa Connolly (The Open University, UK) and Peter J. Scott (The Open University, UK)
Chapters all include ideas for further research or future work, references, and key terms and definitions. A detailed table of contents and index enables one to find specific areas of interest, while a compilation of references helps one to find additional information. […] This volume is geared for those in higher education, although some of the knowledge might also cross into lower schools such as fostering OER communities of practice with teachers, digital storytelling, peer-support, and collaborating.

Developing Technology-Rich Teacher Education Programs: Key Issues
Drew Polly (University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA), Clif Mims (University of Memphis, USA) and Kay A. Persichitte (University of Wyoming, USA)
Each chapter stands alone, while the work itself can serve as a reference through the annotated table of contents and index. The chapters include key terms and definitions, and the volume presents a compilation of references. Lacking is a compilation of key terms and definitions, which would provide a useful glossary for a reader who is unfamiliar with terms or who wants to raise their vocabulary in this area.

Technology and Its Impact on Educational Leadership: Innovation and Change
Victor C.X. Wang (Florida Atlantic University, USA)
An index and detailed table of contents make this work useful as a reference work, while the chapters themselves stand alone for reading straight through to gain knowledge and ideas in the specific area. The materials will help leaders in all areas and levels of education, as well as students of educational leadership.

Transnational Distance Learning and Building New Markets for Universities
Robert Hogan (University of the South Pacific, Fiji)
This book is useful for administrators in universities and colleges seeing to expand their international marketing and outreach, and to enhance their current international programs. It can also be of use to those schools with diverse populations within a single nation, so as to raise awareness of multicultural differences towards and in education.

Bradley S. Barker (University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA), Gwen Nugent (University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA), Neal Grandgenett (University of Nebraska-Omaha, USA) and Viacheslav I. Adamchuk (McGill University, USA)
This volume is presented linearly, although a reader interested in a specific topic can quickly locate the desired information and not be lost. Strong research behind each chapter enables one to gain valid information and see how one can reproduce the research and/or activity in their own organization. An index and compilation of references, along with a detailed table of contents makes this a volume to use as a reference source, while the preface, introduction, and detailed table of contents can help one find the desired chapter or chapters necessary for one’s own situation or interest.

Educational Communities of Inquiry: Theoretical Framework, Research, and Practice
Zehra Akyol (Canada) and D. Randy Garrison (University of Calgary, Canada)
This book is valuable for anyone working on online education who wants to engage students more, wants to incorporate inquiry and critical thinking, and anyone considering entering the field of higher education.

Knowledge Management Innovations for Interdisciplinary Education: Organizational Applications
Sheryl Buckley (University of South Africa, South Africa) and Maria Jakovljevic (University of Zadar, Croatia)
Well-researched and documented, these case-studies, research-reports, and theoretical narratives come together to assist those interested in using knowledge management in new and innovative ways, whether seasoned users or novices to the field. […] The book is approachable and well organized, representing the diversity of the world, sharing insights and knowledge from a variety of settings, and globalizing the field of knowledge. This book will help any knowledge management collection grow stronger in its global coverage of the field.

[…] The information provided is useful to any country, however, where multiculturalism is encountered, to understand the impact of diversity on ICT-supported education and training.

Technologies for Inclusive Education: Beyond Traditional Integration Approaches
David Griol Barres (Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain), Zoraida Callejas Carrión (University of Granada, Spain) and Ramón López-Cózar Delgado (University of Granada, Spain)
The editors provide a compiled list of references from all chapters, and an index to the work as a whole. […] It will be useful for school administrators and teachers looking to use innovative technologies in teaching a wide range of learners, including learning disabled, non-English speakers, and those with nontraditional learning behaviors.

Transcultural Blended Learning and Teaching in Postsecondary Education
Emmanuel Jean Francois (University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, USA)

Child Development and the Use of Technology: Perspectives, Applications and Experiences
Sally Blake (Flagler College, USA), Denise L. Winsor (University of Memphis, USA) and Lee Allen (University of Memphis, USA)
