Clean Energy in America

Do you live in one of the greenest states in America? Clean Edge, a research and advisory firm dedicated to the clean-tech sector, recently published a list ranking the clean energy usage in each state in the U.S., according to a recent article in USA Today. Each state was ranked based on 70 indicators including "electricity produced by clean-energy sources, hybrid and electric vehicles on the road, clean-energy venture and patent activity as well as policy regulations and incentives," according to Wendy Koch, the author of the article.

The top ten states, in order, are as follows:

  1. California
  2. Oregon
  3. Massachusetts
  4. New York
  5. Colorado
  6. Washington
  7. New Mexico
  8. Minnesota
  9. Connecticut
  10. Vermont
