In line with this mission, IGI Global publications were recently donated at the 2018 China University Library Development Forum held in Kunming, Yunnan Province from June 6-9, 2018 by the China National Publication Import & Export (Group) Corporation (CNPIEC).

The two IGI Global publications that were donated were Maximizing Social Science Research Through Publicly Accessible Data Sets and Measuring the Validity of Usage Reports Provided by E-Book Vendors: Emerging Research and Opportunities.

The meeting addressed the construction and development of Chinese university libraries from individual and general perspectives, providing in-depth speeches and presentations to promote the progress of the library industry in China. The forum had the theme New Starting Point, New Opportunity, and New Mission -- university library assisting with Double-A construction strategy and practice and showcased nearly 50 speeches.

While there, CNPIEC, a long-standing partner of the academic publisher, spoke on the topic of New Exploration on Resource Acquisition and Accurate Service in the Digital Environment at a subsidiary forum. The forum was hosted by Ms. Xiao Long, deputy director of CASHL Management Center and Peking University Library, and it addressed the theme of Innovation and Development of In-depth Academic Services. As a leading integrated information service provider in China, CNPIEC spoke on the usage of digital resource acquisitions and precision services in academic libraries. After the conference, CNPIEC held a book donation ceremony, donating printed and electronic versions of IGI Global publications to the forum’s speakers, with electronic access provided through CNPeReading. Ms. Xiao Long stated that “IGI Global’s professional titles will help the researcher's works in the field of library research and promote the development of library business.”
