Computer Science Specialist Tom Adi Shares on the Concept of "Deep Semantics"

By IGI Global on Aug 10, 2016
Common Core Mathematics Standards and Implementing Digital Technologies IGI Global author Tom Adi is the lead researcher and teacher at the Readware Institute in Gainesville, Florida. He is a computer scientist and linguist who has been studying the nature of language, learning and creativity for three decades. His basic discovery is called Deep Semantics which shows how the sounds of the alphabet symbolize abstract concepts that combine into words and give us principles of research, decision-making, and discovery.

The website http://www.readwareinstitute.org offers a simplified introduction to this research and its applications in Information Technology and beyond. This theoretical research and its implementations (called Readware) were developed by Tom Adi in collaboration with Ken Ewell. The site introduces the basic concepts of Deep Semantics with the help of three diagrams about a thinking boy. The theoretical background is reviewed in the Theory page. The Applications page explains the main practical algorithm of Deep Semantics (the Ontology Maker) as well as its past and future applications in general. The Validation page also documents the triumph of Deep Semantics over competing theories and technologies.

Tom Adi was recently awarded the best Computer Science journal article for 2015 in IGI Global's Eighth Annual Excellence in Research Journal Awards for his paper "A Framework of Cognition and Conceptual Structures Based on Deep Semantics" from the International Journal of Conceptual Structures and Smart Applications (IJCSSA).
