Constantin Zopounidis Honored with the MCDM Edgeworth-Pareto Award

Constantin ZopounidisHershey, PA – June 28, 2013 – IGI Global, an international publishing company specializing in high-quality research publications in the fields of computer science and information technology management, is pleased to announce that Professor Constantin Zopounidis of the Technical University of Crete, Editor-in-Chief of IGI Global's International Journal of Corporate Finance and Accounting, was recently was awarded the MCDM Edgeworth-Pareto Award during the 22nd International Conference on Multiple Criteria Decision Making.

The International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making develops, tests, evaluates and applies methodologies for solving multiple criteria decision making problems, in order to foster interaction and research in the scientific field of multiple criteria decision making, and to cooperate with other organizations in the study of management from a quantitative perspective.

The MCDM Edgeworth-Pareto Award is the highest distinction that the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making bestows. This award is given to an exemplary researcher who, throughout their career, has established a record of creativity to the extent that the field of MCDM would not exist in its current form without the far-reaching contributions from this distinguished scholar.

Constantin Zopounidis was also elected as member of the prestigious Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF). He joins the ranks of Daniel Kahneman (Nobel laureate), Romano Prodi, and Joseph E. Stiglitz (Nobel laureate), who belong to this Institution.
