Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management
With the rising digital upheaval, state-of-the-art technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) are significantly becoming pervasive. The transition of artificial intelligence from a futuristic concept to an applied solution is projected to redesign the decision-making processes of organizations. Companies have started recognizing the significance and inevitability of artificial intelligence in managing human resources amidst the changing market scenario. This cutting-edge technology plays a pivotal role, from varied aspects of people analytics to talent management to compensation/rewards to several other wider functions.

The advent of automation systems and AI has ushered an archetype shift in human resource development, instigating a reexamining of determinate methodologies and practices. Shifting from the mere implementation of AI and process mechanization to accelerating its potential for ground-breaking business outcomes and unprecedented opportunities is gaining significant traction. By capitalizing on AI technologies, organizations are redefining the way they invite, uphold, and develop talent. The broader emphasis lies on upgrading their organizational functioning and developing the skill sets in the HR segments to attain productivity on a wider scale. With the focus on transforming the workplaces, AI based applications bolster effectiveness and efficiency, with augmented performance and experience of the employees. Embracing the AI workspace leads to augmented productivity, better work-life integration, and improved employee satisfaction.

Modifying the way work gets done within an organization, backing better decision-making processes, freeing up professionals from recurring tasks, and making operations more efficient is the need of the hour among the companies. However, there are several challenges in terms of understanding of the integration of these cutting-edge technologies at both the employee as well as organizational level. With the rising adoption of AI in HR, the need for understanding its implications also witnesses a rise.

The Asia-Pacific region has been at the lead of innovation, with the new technologies revolutionizing the skills required, employee expectations, and the way people work. With the rapidly changing AI landscape, it is significantly essential for HR professionals to understand the use cases and core capabilities of this technology. The paper titled, “Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management in Asia-Pacific” delves into understanding the benefits of amalgamating AI-driven tools in organizations for both employees and professionals. Further, the chapter also illustrates the analysis of artificial intelligence in HR in the Asia Pacific region with the discussion on different market players implementing the technology to augment their efficiency and productivity, keeping in pace with the changing market scenario.
