IGI Global Announces Diamond Sponsorship for the 2017 Annual Charleston Conference

IGI Global, for the ninth year in a row, is proud to announce that they will be a diamond sponsor for the Charleston Conference taking place Charleston, South Carolina on November 6-10.

Jackie Ricords, IGI Global’s Director of E-Resources and Consortia Relations, will be attending the conference. Visit her at booth #73 and learn about IGI Global and how they are dedicated to librarians and furthering the dissemination of research.

Additionally, Ricords will be a part of, “Publishers Are Not the Enemy,” a workshop highlighting how librarians and publishers can collaborate to create stronger institutions and outline how they can partner together to utilize Evidence Based Acquisitions (EBA), course textbooks and e-book collections on Tuesday, November 7 at 12:30-4 p.m.

She will also be hosting a lively lunch, “eBooks Speed Dating: Who’s in the Driver Seat Going Forward?" on Wednesday, November 8 at 12:45-2 p.m. This session will be a “speed-dating-esque” program led by a librarian, a consortium leader and a publisher’s representative. Each speaker will have 90 seconds to address a topical list developed by the audience at the start of the session. This highly interactive and collaborative discussion will address pros and cons and allow participants the opportunity to shape this unconference approach to future-thinking about eBook trends.
