IGI Global Awards the 2017 InfoSci®-Journals Distinguished Fellowship to Professor Patricia Ordóñez de Pablos

Hershey, PA – December 6, 2017– IGI Global, a leading international academic publisher, is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 InfoSci®-Journals Distinguished Fellowship: Professor Patricia Ordóñez de Pablos from the University of Oviedo, Spain.

To qualify for this honor, an IGI Global Editor-in-Chief must exhibit a record of success in raising citation, visibility, and scholarship of their journal. They must also secure an adequate quantity of submissions from industry leading authors and publish each journal issue on a timely basis. In addition, the fellowship honors exceptional work in gaining recognition of the journal in top indices.

Prof. Ordóñez de Pablos is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Asian Business and Information Management (IJABIM), since its inception in 2010. Under her leadership, it has grown as an authoritative resource for timely, quality research on the globalization and sustained development of Asian commerce and management technologies.

The journal has been accepted into over ten indices including Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Scopus, and INSPEC. Additionally, it has procured positive reviews across the industry and is noted as an “exemplary and valuable platform” and “an essential tool in the editorial platform to help develop sufficient abilities to lead commercial sales and marketing strategies, business and corporate penetration in different markets…[and the] building of strategic abilities.”

Prof. Ordóñez de Pablos has exhibited a long-standing commitment to expanding the body of academic knowledge as she sits on various international review boards, has edited over 30 IGI Global books, and contributed to three teaching cases.

Currently, she is a professor in the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Oviedo, Spain. Her teaching and research interests focus on the areas of strategic management, knowledge management, organizational learning, human resource management, intellectual capital, and information technologies, with a special interest in Asia.
