IGI Global attended the Academy of Management Annual Meeting

IGI Global was “At the Interface”

By IGI Global Author Relations Team on Aug 11, 2017
From August 4-6, 2017, thousands of business professionals, researchers and students gathered at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AOM) in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s conference theme, “At the Interface” focused on how technology is evolving the business landscape and creating an interconnectedness among organizations, employees and managers. Sessions, exhibits and workshops highlighted a range of themes including the impact of technology in business and increasing productivity in the workforce.

Academy of Management Annual Meeting Booth IGI Global’s Managing Director, Lindsay Wertman, was in attendance and met with editors, authors, researchers and professionals during the conference. Many stopped by IGI Global’s booth to talk about the Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology and to flip through popular publications including the Handbook of Research on Human Resources Strategies for the New Millennial Workforce, the Handbook of Research on Healthcare Administration and Management and the International Journal of E-Business Research (IJEBR).

The conference served as an opportunity for IGI Global to meet with contributors and individuals passionate about business and management research, many of which were interested in publishing with IGI Global.

“I was so thrilled with the positive feedback we received from all of our current authors, editors, and reviewers. Without them we truly wouldn't be where we are today. I am also really looking forward to some of the new working relationships we will develop as a result of this conference," stated Wertman. "It was very flattering that attendees who weren’t aware of us before felt as though we are really able to fill a void for them with our innovative research topics. Giving them the ability to fulfill their course and independent research needs is really allowing us to execute the mission and vision our company is so proud of.”

Overall, the conference was a huge success, and a special thanks goes to everyone who stopped by IGI Global's booth to interact and enter into the $100 Visa gift card drawing.
