IGI Global Editor Travels To Myanmar IGI Global is proud to introduce the recent implementation of LibGuides, an easy-to-use Content Management System utilized by thousands of libraries worldwide. Librarians use LibGuides to curate knowledge and share information by creating online guides on any topic, subject, course, process, or thing. With LibGuides, librarians are able to copy new guides into their own LibGuides account or link to them from their library webpage. Not only does this save time, but it also makes IGI Global content more accessible to students and researchers, increasing usage within their institution.

IGI Global LibGuides cover all 11 subject areas:
  • Business and Management Information Science and Technology
  • Computer Science and Information Technology
  • Educational Science and Technology
  • Engineering Science and Technology
  • Environmental Science and Technology
  • Government Science and Technology
  • Library Information Science and Technology
  • Media and Communication Science and Technology
  • Medical, Healthcare, and Life Science and Technology
  • Security and Forensic Science and Technology
  • Social Sciences and Online Behavior
Librarians can also request subject-specific LibGuides that are useful to them. Within IGI Global LibGuides, users can utilize the IGI Global Search Box, where users can search the full InfoSci platform from within their LibGuides pages. Additionally, this search box can be copied into an institution’s LibGuides or added to their library website to allow users to easily search the IGI Global InfoSci platform from their most frequented pages.

To keep institutions up to date on recently added or modified guides, IGI Global also provides LibGuide Alerts. These monthly email messages notify librarians of what new material is available to be copied into their guides or linked from their webpages.

To sign up to receive monthly LibGuide Alerts or to suggest a guide that would be helpful for their institutions, librarians should contact E-Resources Customer Support Specialist, Taylor Brainard, at tbrainard@igi-global.com. Please include your name, title, university, and email address when requesting to receive LibGuide Alerts. To suggest a guide, include the topic area as well as a short description.
