The majority of the publisher's frontlist books are currently recognized by the prestigious index, Scopus, a testament to its dedication to producing high-quality academic and scholarly works. Nearly 90% of IGI Global’s 2023 copyright year (approximately 600 books) are included in the most recent indexing update provided by Scopus. Also, nearly a third of IGI Global’s current 2024 copyright year has already been indexed (the publisher will continue to release 2024 copyright books through to the end of June 2024). View IGI Global’s complete list of Scopus-indexed books here.

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, including scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. It is widely recognized as one of the most authoritative indices in the academic community and meticulously selects publications based on rigorous criteria, including originality, scholarly consistency, diversity, timeliness of content, significance amongst the research community, and more.

"Having our publications indexed in Scopus is a significant achievement for our authors and editors, which is why I am pleased that nearly all our 2023 copyright books have been successfully indexed in Scopus. This success holds significance in enhancing our readership and improving accessibility for our audiences and is a testament of the hard work and dedication put forth by our contributors" – Jocelynn Hessler, Managing Editor of Book Development, IGI Global.

IGI Global takes pride in its rigorous editorial processes, which ensure that every book published meets the highest scholarly standards. From rigorous, double-anonymized peer review to careful editing, the publisher maintains strict quality control measures at every stage of the publishing process. The inclusion of IGI Global’s books in the Scopus index underscores the value of its publications and further solidifies its reputation as a trusted source of scholarly content.

90% indexing is indeed a good news and reflects the hard work, quality work, and efforts put in by the publisher team, the editorial team and the authors. All the stakeholders should introspect and come out with ways to better their work and come with improved score next year! All good luck!
