As the COVID-19 pandemic’s presence persists across the globe, research on the pandemic itself has infiltrated the research community, with many of IGI Global’s publications leading the insightful and impactful dialogue that has surfaced. Unfortunately, the pandemic is far from over with new variations spreading, complications with the vaccination of different age groups, and different countries navigating policies to safely resume “normal” life. IGI Global continues to remain committed to the publication of emerging concepts, trends, and controversies as they continue to develop from this worldwide health crisis.
It is an incredibly exciting time for research as the pandemic has pushed ongoing issues to the forefront and revealed new controversies, allowing for new and innovative practices to emerge. From encouraging advancements in vaccinations, to the widespread implementation of online learning, to the push for increased safety and work-life balance, to the drive to not only talk about diversity, racism, equity, and inclusivity, but to also implement solutions to overcome these issues in society, the pandemic and its influence has become an ever-present factor in the way that society will move forward as a whole. As such, it is more important than ever that society stay informed and are aware of the impacts of this pandemic in their daily lives.
