Technology Innovation Spotlight: CHINA

China is known around the world for its ability to create highly adaptive and responsive business models in quickly changing environments. With a population of 1.357 billion, its number of universities is currently estimated around 2,236. Current areas of trending research include the fields of Economics, Industrial Development, Health, and Marketing. China has been the source of many innovations, scientific discoveries, and inventions. Some of their greatest achievements in science and technology include the establishment of advanced principles of mathematics and astronomy, and invention of the calendar, gunpowder, and the compass.

IGI Global is proud to partner with Chinese innovators on many levels. With nearly 5,000 affiliates from hundreds of universities and institutions, our Chinese authors and editors advance and support the quality academic content that IGI Global has become known for. According to a Forbes article from last January, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick gave a talk in Beijing where he forecasted that in the next five years, China’s innovation will surpass that of Silicon Valley.
