IGI Global and University of North Carolina (UNC) Greensboro have entered into an Open Access Partnership, allowing their faculty to submit research to one of IGI Global's nearly 200 journals as part of their Open Access Journal Program. IGI Global's Open Access Journal Program also offers UNC Greensboro's researchers quality, peer-reviewed outlets certified by the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for their manuscripts to ensure greater reach of their work, while benefiting from timely publication (
submission to publication in as little as 2-4 weeks) and personalized editorial service from the medium-sized, independent publisher.
"We at IGI Global are pleased to provide flexible open access offerings such as this one to the academic research community following our recent transition of our full journal portfolio (nearly 200 journals in Business, STM, and Education) to open access in a rapid two-year period. It is an honor to further our collaboration with UNC Greensboro and we appreciate their continued support."
– Brittany Haynes, Senior Director of e-Collections & Open Access Initiatives, IGI Global
IGI Global and UNC Greensboro have come together in a significant collaboration to support faculty in their quest for open access research, currently gaining interest from researchers for its increased discoverability, higher citation rates and indexing potential. What makes this collaboration even more remarkable is that the library incurs zero expenses. By adopting this cost-free partnership, UNC Greensboro not only encourages accessibility but also receives a 5% discount on Article Processing Charges (APC) for their faculty. This alliance paves the way for a future where accessibility and innovation seamlessly coexist. To find out more about this exciting partnership, click

"The UNCG University Libraries strive to support open access publishing and sharing opportunities for campus authors, and are pleased to partner with IGI Global to reduce article processing charges (APCs) in this cost-free program."
– Anna Craft, Professor and Coordinator of Scholarly Communications, UNC Greensboro
Recognizing the increasing interest in open access publishing, we are prepared to have a conversation around our flexible open access partnership, including a paid option where the library can directly fund their faculty's open access publishing with IGI Global's Open Access Journal Program, in addition to our no-cost option, adopted by UNC Greensboro. We encourage other libraries to meet with us to learn how faculty members can benefit from an Open Access Partnership. To learn about how your institution can be the next to support the open access movement through an IGI Global Open Access Partnership, read more on our
Open Access Partnerships webpage. If you or your institution's library are ready to discuss these options with us, you can request a face-to-face meeting with our Electronic Resources Team (
eresources@igi-global.com). Researchers, be sure to recommend this no-cost option to your library to start benefiting from APC discounts when you publish with IGI Global.
