Abstract

The number of learning management systems available to schools has grown significantly. These systems are called learning management systems or LMSs. They allow companies and schools to learn remotely and globally via the internet. This work is divided into three areas. The work first involves the definition of e-learning platforms, the definitions of e-learning management systems CMS, LMS, and LCMS, then a comparison between different LMS to choose the most suitable one for our research. Second, the work involves selecting and justifying the choice of an e-learning platform, for which the authors propose a comparative study of the six most used platforms (Canvas, Chamilo, Claroline Connect, Ilias, Moodle, and WordPress). At the end, they present an overview of the possibilities of the Moodle platform. Third, the work involves installing the Moodle platform on a server based on a set of technical tools through containerization technology. Then the authors propose the configuration of the Moodle platform according to their project's context and situation.
