Abstract

Supply chain has been the main process of sustainable products/services flow from supplier to customer in various industries. Blockchain has been a revolution in cryptocurrency, and it is the tamperproof, timestamp, consensus-based algorithm with the decentralized ledger. There are emerging applications of blockchain from financials to healthcare and creating various jobs in service industries. Big data and Industry 4.0 with the blockchain ecosystems can bring efficiencies and real-time transactions in the pharmaceutical industry from origin to distribution in the healthcare supply chain. This chapter shall explain the physical aspects of the integration of blockchain and supply chain management in pharmaceutical industries.
