Abstract

Competition in the software and digital content industry is starting to develop. The ability to increase the company's production is starting to show significant changes. The software and digital content industries, small and large, are starting to feel the impact of this competition. This can be attributed to the unbalanced competition of the local software industry against foreign industries. This weak competitiveness is due to the absence of standards that can be used as a process model for the maturity of the domestic software industry. This study aims to examine the strategies for the potential development of the software and digital content industry ecosystem in Indonesia. This research is a type of qualitative research that uses in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and expert judgements, that is further enriched by conducting literature studies to obtain information. This research recommends the government to make policies that support development of the software and digital content industry in Indonesia.
