Abstract

This book chapter offers valuable research-based insights into the effectiveness of microlearning as an instructional approach for enhancing the learning of complex introductory database programming concepts. Beginning with an overview of the research background and problem statement, the chapter proceeds to define microlearning instructional approach. Drawing upon three prior research studies on microlearning instructional design in the context of introductory database programming, this chapter builds upon and extends the existing knowledge base. The study findings are thoroughly examined, and the chapter addresses key implications derived from these study findings.
