Full Chapters Due: June 13, 2019

Textile and apparel industry must face a highly dynamic environment and its growth depends on external and internal factors. External factors are represented by aggressive competition, volatile product demand and more and more pressure from public authorities and communities where they are carrying out the activity. Internally, the industry must face an increasingly shorter life cycle of the product and the need of innovating in both product and organizational development. In this case, the competitive advantage of the industry lies in its ability of designing a value creating system, based on the management of both external and internal relationships. The successful management of these relationships relies on several fields, such as design, customer relationship management, supply chain management etc. and there exists a need for an edited collection of original research in this area.

This book will aim to provide relevant theoretical frameworks and the latest empirical research findings in the area. It will be written for professionals who want to improve their understanding of the complexity of the management of the inter/intra organizational relationships with all the actors of the value system of the textile and apparel industry, that are customers, suppliers, workers, government and community.
